I just got my first explorer the other day. It's an 04 Eddie Bauer with the third row seating, without the premium sound system, and stock everything. First, I want to add an in-dash navigation system that still works with the steering wheel controls. Does anybody have any suggestions that are under the $500 range? Once I do this I want to beef up the stereo. I'm not sure how good the stock speakers are, so for now I was thinking of just adding a subwoofer or two. I want to keep the third row, so it would probably be put behind that row. Or, is it easier to just get a powered sub? If I do get the powered sub, where would I wire that to? I'm new to this, so suggestions would be great. I don't want anything crazy, but some nice bass would be awesome.
