04 XLT Front Wheels Binding and Racheting

When I use 4wd high or low when turning I get a binding and racheting noise from the front end. It sounds like a spline or a gear is skipping a tooth, there is also a whining sound coming from the front end when turning in 4wd? If 4wd left on Auto no noise or binding.

What surface are you experiencing this on?

On paved roads wet or dry still the same noise.

There's your problem. You're destroying you're 4x4. Try it in a situation where the wheels would slip like loose gravel or mud.

That's exactly what mines is doing even in snow or mud
Any ideas?
