Yeah that is not the right front bumper. As said above, that bumper belongs on a truck with the side fender moldings

Note the differences

so the bumper i have should actually have fender mouldings and be on a model that features that, correct?

I see the difference!!!!!!!!!! Ohh thank you very much!!! XOXOXOXOXO

how many miles are on the truck if you don't mind me asking?

i bought my gf a 2005, but high miles and stole it for $800 lol. I see the $9,999 on the window and kinda giggle about the deal i scored. Also bought a 2002 limited for myself for $500 plus cost to fix. I'm someone who hunts deals after bad dealership experiences.

you get GOOD deals!! the mileage was 100,922 ....they actually have it posted for $8990 which was 2G less than another one I saw that was identical...except for the bumper LOL

they did not tell me anything about the vehicle, no disclosing anything. Even the paperwork isn't right.....I did look at the carfax and found out it was in 2 accidents but it was too late for me to take it back....I know I should probably pursue it, but it runs great, looks amazing inside, I do love it and I'm not sure I'm up to a long messy process.

i had to buy a brand new battery and wiper blades cuz the ones on there (which passed inspection) were ripped and hanging LOL I'm not happy with the things that are not right, but I do not want to fight with this place where I got it...they don't have a good rep and it would cost more to fight with them. Lesson learned.

those are the reasons i stay away from dealerships and look for the crazy deals. although, sometimes they need work, the price gives me the ability to pay for parts and i can do the work myself. in the end, if i sell, i can even make money lol.

if i were you, i would invest in a transmission fluid and filter change. these transmissions need fresh fluid to run for a long time. many people over look it until issues arise. if you are mechanically inclined it will run you $50-75 and follow the thread in the transmission section of the forum.

can you tell me, under the bumper is a wide black piece that gives the bottom a finished look....do you know what is called? I seem to be missing that....I went out and looked at the bumper and discovered some other issues that i'm not pleased with. This is my 2nd explorer (i like them just not the problems) and the first one had issues with the blend door acuator for the heat. I'm getting a little more upset about this purchase than I was earlier.....

so what do you think a wrecked vehicle's value would be LOL it's illegal to sell a damaged car without disclosing, thank you for informing me of that, I did look it up. I guess I need to be taking this beautiful baby back!!

with 2 accidents, wrong bumper (incompetent body shop) and missing parts. i would check to make sure it isn't a salvage title vehicle that wasn't disclosed either. if it is still a good titled vehicle, i would offer no more than $6,500 with some type of warranty. if you need financing, you could always go to a bank/credit union and apply for a loan and take a bank check to a private party sale (make sure to have it looked at by a trusted mechanic) and you could save yourself a great deal of money. up here in NH on craigslist there are many available with around that mileage from 2500-8000.

i'm going to take it back and let them know they sold me a vehicle illegally....they may not have known, but I do not know the extent of the damage/repair sooooo, it's best if I take it back. I've only had it for a few days.
