2005 Explorer Eddie Bauer w/awd. The right front seal has been replaced twice, and now needs a third.The axle shaft is not grooved. The local Ford dealer says that seal is not problematic. I am using good quality synthetic 75w90 gear oil. Seems to happen in the cold weather only. I am suspecting the front diff vent might be icing up. Does anyone know where it is? any other ideas? It's a royal pain to do in my small shop on the ground.
