Hey guys I'm hoping someone can help because I'm stumped. The other morning my CEL started flashing and the truck ran utterly terrible. I had it towed home immediately. The codes were Po406 (dpfe sensor) Po302 (misfire cylinder #2 ) I replaced the dpfe sensor and replaced plugs and wires, ohm tested the coil pack, cleaned the egr and checked for any bad vacuum lines. None of that helped the although the codes are gone and it seems the passenger side exhaust is getting really hot and I have a noise from cylinder #2 still. Any help would be appreciated I am at a total loss this is my daily driver and need to get it fixed ASAP.

From owners manual. (Page 10)

If the light is blinking, engine misfire is occurring which could damage your catalytic converter.

Under engine misfire conditions, excessive exhaust temperatures could damage the catalytic converter,
the fuel system, interior floor coverings or other vehicle components, possibly causing a fire.

Sounds like your #2 misfire damaged your passenger side cat. Upon removal I'd bet you
will find it severely restricted or clogged. If so, replace with aftermarket, much cheaper.

Wow thanks for all the helpful Info swshawaii. I've been chasing my tail for two weeks and have been desperately looking for different areas of diagnosis. As of late I've felt like I've given my truck a dang proctology exam lol.
