New to me 06 Limited. 92k miles 4.0 2wd, 3.73 OPEN. New to this forum too. So I need to knock off some of the Grand ma.
Step 1 BEFORE continuous driving... hard wiring in the mirror cam with rear camera add on? Is the stock electric mirror feed 12v ignition ON source to use? or should I find/wire directly to fuse panel?
Is the 06 rear diff year specific? seems junkyard charts list 02-05 then 06 then 07-10??? Would like to swap in a 3.73 posi.
I would assume a simple canned tuned hand held can manage the gear swap for the ecu.
Needs some RAKE! Since the tie-rod ends bolt in from the TOP, when lowering the front 1 1/2" does this cause severe bump steer issues?
Is there a "bluetooth" add on for the stereo in this? ( I have NOT researched this ANY just asking)
The 5R55E could use some shift improvement. Figured I would do a LITLLE something here when I drop the pan for fluid n filter.
Are there any "BEWARE" issues associated with cleaning up the engine compartment? (like a 5.4 f150....DO NOT WASH IT UNLESS YOU ARE PUTTING NEW SPARK PLUGS IN AFTER...cause you will need to to get the water out of the spark plug wells or live with the misfires)
Unless somebody else has already got a fix for this....I will be modding the fuel filler tube to accommodate dual tailpipes!
This is an EXTRA vehicle that my teenage boys will be driving as needed so...no need for 400 hp, autocross suspension, or 6" lift kit!! Just trying to make it like it needs to be!
