'08 Explorer 4.6 4x4 Rear diff and Front axel seal

Hey guys,

My normal independent shop is telling me that resealing the rear differential which is leaking at the rear plate and the replacing the left front axel seal are both huge jobs. I called my local Stealership and to my surprise they say neither is a huge deal

Indy shop is asking $1200+ saying that it's going to be at least one full days labor.

Dealer says the rear diff will run $190 and the front axel seal right at $350.

2008 Explorer 4.6 4x4 Limited.

190 from the dealer sounds right for the rear. I have never had a front axle seal done by the dealer so I dont know about that price. Keep an eye on the other side seal to fail on my car the right went first then the left went about 2 years later and I didn't catch it till it was way to late.
