- 2009 Explorer V8 FWD
Hi All,
I've searched for info on this but am not turning up much definitive information. I just bought a used 2009 Explorer, V8 4x4 w/ 138,000 miles. The truck has been well-cared for and is in immaculate condition.
My brother-in-law (a mechanic by trade, almost a mechanical savant really) did a drain and fill right after I bought it. The fluid had obviously been changed before, as it was definitely not 138,000 mile-old fluid. There were also no abnormal metal shavings or kludge.
Twice now, however, it's went into Limp Home Mode with a P0658 code, which is an Actuator Supply Low Voltage error. Turning the truck off and back on seems to clear it and it runs fine. I've read that the solenoids can be prone to crud building up in the fluid.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any fix that's worked?
Thanks,
Matt
