Like you said you already have the info on the torsion bars, so I'll skip the front.
For the rear you have a spring under axle setup, so blocks are not an option. I've read the discussions about longer shackles, but this is a custom setup (you have to find the right length, they aren't made by anyone specifically for the Explorer) and IMHO a Mickey Mouse solution. Do it right the first time. Take it to a suspension or spring shop and get them to put a full length add-a-leaf in and some teflon spacers. Not only will you gain 2 to 2 1/2" of lift, but also a firmer rear, and increased load carrying capacity. You know how your rear end probably sags when you've got a full tank of gas and put in some groceries? Not anymore!
