Now, I have heard and read about 1" body lifts for vehicles. However, I can not seem to find any information regarding dealers, maybe how to custom make one, etc. Does anyone have any info on a 1" body lift? I know that it is not much, but I want just a tad more lift if I could get it. If you do have some info, please let me know. Thanks guys and gals.

Why not just raise the torsion bars in the front and block the rear? If all you want is 1 inch this should do fine.

Jordan,
I'm not an expert, but I do beleive that 93's still had springs up front. It's only 95+ that have torsion bars.

That is true, torsion bars started in 95. My 93 still had springs and I already have a little over an inch of lift in the front and 1.5 in the rear. I just need a little more, to squeeze some 32's. I have 31's now and have had absolutely no rubbing.
I remember readin summer on this message board about someone that had a custom one done. I can't remember where though. I guess, now thinking about it, that I could do a search. However, if someone still has some info, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks.

Yeah my bad I didnt read what year his Explorer was. You still have the springs. Maybe try a STEEL SHOP or Custom Spring Shop in your area to custom make something for you. You may want to try a LOWERED CAR Custom Shop.....they have alot of contacts.

Hey Todd your right you did read about a 1" bodylift, mine. I made one out of high density polyethylene. I just used a hole saw to cut out the pucks i wanted, i only needed to purchase 2 new bolts. the bolts from the very back will go up to the second from rear spot , the ones from there will go up to the very front 2 which when they come out get tossed. the front mounts are threaded but they are a different size than the ones you're gonna put in there ... so i just drilled them out so the new ones would go through and used a nut on top. i can't swear to it but i think the ones i used in the very back the ones i had to buy were 8" maybe 8.5" and there may have been another pair of mounts i had to drill out i can't remember. the middle mounts and the front cab mounts bolts all 4 should be long enough, the only really difficult one to do is the one by the fuel tank anyway i hoe this helps, it isnt a complete instruction or anything but hey just have the blocks made, and buy a couple 1/2" bolts what more could you ask for? i also used a pair of the same to level my front end.

Todd,
You should just go with the performance accessories 2" body lift, I know it is more than you want, but when lifting a truck more is always better than less....Besides, I installed the 2" on mine without any suspension lift and I run 32's, if anything it will make it so you have room to size up if you ever want to do so in the future.

I have a 93 and was wondering hoe hard it was too install that 2" lift. What all else has too be done, ie. fan shroud, fuel filler, steering shaft, etc...???
