Let's hope he gets it fixed...

We'll wait for an update... either way, he wins :D

your problem with engine quiting

check fuel pressure, leave gauge on watch when it dies, then check for spark when it dosen't start. poss ingnition module witch is located by passenger head light

ISSUE:
Some vehicles may have a disconnect of the Ignition Control Module (ICM) connector or moisture buildup within the connector. This can cause hard to start/no start, rough idle, or "check engine light" illumination concerns. The improved gasket and connector retainer that are currently used in production are now available for service of prior model distributorless ignition systems.

ACTION:
Install new Connector Sleeve Retainer Clip and a current production seal (gasket). The clip assembles in between the connector beams and the ICM which will prevent accidental disconnects. The new seal is a "solid silicone" gasket that provides improved resistance to moisture entry into the connector. Refer to the ICM Connector Harness Wire Service kit (F5CZ-14A411-AA) for service details (I.S. 6621).

This is what I was told, a shut off module/sensor

Feedback

Seriously..... Ill paypal it to you.

Details: 93 XLT 4.0

Ok so heres the deal. Start it and it idles fine, back out of the driveway and put it in drive. Sometimes its fine for a few minutes, most of the time it just dies. Restart it. Starts up like a new car and then dies. Restart it, same thing. Starts up perfect and then dies. Seems like it could be fuel related. The smell of fuel is there and sometimes it even smells flooded.

Replaced

Mass airflow sensor
Throttle position sensor
Idle air control valve
fuel pressure regulator
New coil and wires
New plugs
All vacuum lines seem to be working properly

I have searched for days and I cant seem to find out what the deal is. It drove fine a week ago, but it has done this before and then the next day it was fine. Maybe the O2 sensor or the fuel filter? Im just stumped and I need to drive this thing tomorrow. Any help?

how'd it go? :feedback:

if fuel pressures low.....check rubber hose in tank. it connects the metal fuek intake line and the pump it self. chacks will let pressure built and slowly leak back out or spray out inside tank.many 93s have this rubber hose problems. fuel pressure test will tell you if you need to take a closer look inside the tank.....i spent 500 trying to fix my 93 xlt and come to find out the piece i needed cost 2.99...

I hope he got it fixed by now- that was 2-1/2 years ago... :D
