2000 Ford Explorer XLT
Hi All, I just got this explorer, a 2000 XLT with 47,000 miles on it. It ran great for a few days and now it runs horrible. I had a friend come over and it came up with 12 error codes...Everything from the O2 sensors to the traney. I was thinking it must be a ground that is bad and have now cleaned and replaced multiple grounds, it's no better. I'm thinking now that it might be my ECM computer???? But everyone I ask has another idea of what it could be. Seeing how it ran fine at first and then suddenly now has 12 codes after turning it off and turning it back on one day, I think it must be some kind of electrical problem. Sometimes my windows don't work and sometimes my rear windshield wiper doesn't work....Crazy!! The codes are P1747,P0343,P0750,P0755,P0760,P0765,P1451,P0135,P0141,P0155,P0161,P1409. Anyone have any ideas what to do next? Or what it can be? Thanks!!!

Alright guys I have the codes. Here they are P1747,P0343,P0750,P0755,P0760,P0765,P1451,P0135,P0141,P0155,P0161,P1409

Hello. my explorer is having those same exact codes and I was wondering if you ever found out what was wrong with your truck. I hope someone can help. Here is the scenario of what happened. I was driving for about 2 hours when this happened on our way on a camping vacation pulling a pop up camper. I had to stop for a toll and when I tried to go, the truck barely wanted to go it felt like it was stumbling or something to go, but once it got past the initial acceleration, it would go up to whatever speed I needed it, but once I had to stop for a light, it would hardly go again. I got stuck trying to go up a hill with this problem. The OBD thing read those same codes. I am hoping someone can help me.

Earthing points??
Or maybe the main harness connection plug at the bulkhead

i have the same exact problem. had someone scan the truck and got the same codes. did u find out any solution?

My Explorer is still with my mechanic. My ECM was fried and the #13 fuse blew. I have a new ECM but there has been a short to ground that he cannot find. He is now thinking that my engine may have been replaced and the ECM is for my VIN of a 99 Explorer, but the engine he is now thinking came off of a 95-97 Explorer and that's why he can't find the short because the ECM's might be different. Does anyone know how I might be able to get an ECM for the new engine if I don't know what year it came off of? Is there anything on the engine I can look for? This has been a frustrating ride.
