I had a drop in gas mileage about 6 months ago. I was getting around 18-19 but it dropped to the 14's. Yesterday I decided to pull the plugs and take a look at them. They all looked good. 3/4ths of them were gapped wide, so I regapped them. One plug wasn't tightened in very tight at all, I probably could have loosened it with my hand if I got a good grip on it. I cleaned the maf sensor. Looked at the TB but it was still clean from last time. I then went to look at the rear brakes. Pulled off the rotors and the parking brake pads fell out both sides and I also have a broken coil spring I need to replace. After putting it all back together, I was showing 18-19 mpg again. Wish I knew what I did to get my mileage back, just glad it came back.
