16" tires on 2000 ex.

Was this an option? Just picked up a one owner and it had 16" on what look like Ford alum. wheels. Did not see it on option list. No big, just wondering. Thanks.

I thought that was original on 2-gen

My 2000 LTD also has 16" (w LTD hubcaps) so it seems that was original. I also have a set of summer tyres on 17", clearly aftermarket that came with the truck.

Two other 94 Exes came with 15" .

Yes, 255/70R16 was an optional tire size for XLTs and Eddie Bauers, and standard on Limiteds.

Yeah, sorry, you are right. XLTs were the only model it was optional on.
