'17 Sport SYNC3 Update - download request?

Welcome to the Forum.
That's a looong time between posts. I'm on 2.0 and have not had any luck updating to V2.3 despite several attempts. I'm hoping that it may do the self automatic update via wifi in the near future. I don't know about the link you referred to. If I sign into owner.ford.com the download is there waiting to be put onto a USB drive.
If you no longer have the 2002 something or other, please add the 2017 Sport to your profile. Thanks.

Peter, how easy was the 2.3V update to do yourself? Like to update NAV maps but can't see if/what updates are available. Also heard dealer must do it and costs $150 approx.! Advice?
I'm in Ottawa too. Any local Explorer club/group in Town?

Welcome to the Forum.
You're the second Ottawa member to join in the last week. No clubs/groups that I'm aware of. I'm actually just outside the city boundary.
I made 2 attempts to load V2.3 that proved unsuccessful. I then downloaded the file again from my account and was able to get the update to work. If I recall, it only took 15-20 minutes. I wasn't able to report the successful update as per the instructions and gave up. A week or so later I checked my account and saw that the update was reported. The date it showed was the day after I completed the update so it had to have occurred via WiFi while the Explorer was parked in the garage. As for updating navigation, I don't believe that is something that can be done like with MFT where you could purchase a new SD Card. I believe with Sync 3 it has to be done via WiFi when updates are released. There haven't been any that I'm aware of and not aware of anyone who has tried/done it.
