1991 Wiper Relay Location

First of all I'd like to say I love this website. It has helped me many times. This is the first post I've had to do so hopefully I'll get some help with this problem.

Ok I've got a 1991 Eddie Bauer and the wiper's only have high speed. I changed the multifunction switch and still only have high. So I heard it could be a relay or something. Only problem is I can't find anything. So if anyone could help me I'd greatly appreciate it.

Also I did a search but couldn't find anything if I overlooked it i apologize in advance

Does anyone have any idea where this is or if it is called something else. I got a haynes manual and it shows an INTERNAL GOVERNOR but in the write up it says nothing about it. Would this be what I'm looking for instead of a relay and if so where would it be? Thanks

The wiper relay should be UNDER the power distribution box. You have to lift it up and out to get at the wiper one.

ok which one is the wiper one? They are 3 there and I have no idea which is which. I have a Haynes manual but it isn't no help on this.

No Its Not The Relays, Its The G.E.M. MODULE!!!! Its Located Behind The Radio And The Ashtray....

Mine went out during a snow storm...

I Had The Same Problem And I Replaced It And I Got All 3 Back....

Its A Little Brown Box Next To The Big Black One... Dealer Cost For It Is Around $200, But you can get it at a Junk Yard for Around $5.00 To $15.00

ok, let me know what happens, i just got the 1991 explorer truck shop manual, and this has a lot on the truck.....

I've got everything working now! I also found a shop manual the other day and you're right it shows ALOT. It makes Haynes and Chilton's look sick.
