I'm having trouble with my recently purchased 94 Explorer 4x4. I am new to the 4x4 community and I was wondering if anyone else out there has had the same type of problem. It started right after I changed the transmission fluid and filter on the explorer. Every time I get into it to drive it, I put it in gear and hit the gas and the the needle on the rpm gauge goes up and you can hear the engine revving but the vehicle will go nowhere. After a couple of minutes the vehicle makes a popping noise and will lurch forward a little bit, then it will start to move. I was wondering if it could be the torque converter not engaging when it is supposed to, or if it is the transmission going bad. Has anyone else ever had this happen? If so what is the remedy? Please help. Thanks!

best thing to do is park the truck on a level area make sure you warmed up the truck, put the parking brake on and then check the transmission fluid level while the truck is in neutral and go from there.you might now have enough fluid in the transmission or there could be other problems with that has happened because of the flushinf and filter change.
