Hey guys,

Can anyone out there that has a body lift done on their post 95 Explorer tell me how they got the bumpers to remount properly?

Does anyone have a CAD drawing of the bracket?

I'm getting mine lifted in a few weeks (can't wait/afford Trailmaster) and was needin info for this part.

I only want a 2" lift, so if anyone can help, I'd be much appreciative.

Also, do you know if there are any problems regarding airbags with the new mounts?

Cheers,

BK

MeatyCrab,
I will be doing the 2" body lift next week. I'll post any unusual procedures, or any problems when I am done. I think several people have done a 1" lift. Maybe they can help you now?

Thanks Rick,

I think I'll just wait until you finish yours. I hope you post a long and detailed message of your process.

Are you going to be doing anything with the steering shaft or brake lines (or any other lines)?

And make sure you post some pics...

Come to think of it, when looking at TC's lifted sport, you'd be hard pressed to see any bumper relocation because it looks stock (I understand he has a 3" body lift over the 4" susp. lift).

Does anyone know how he got the bumpers to relocate so well?

Cheers,
BK

Where & how are you getting a BODY lift for a 1995? I couldn't find a kit. Meatycrab, when you say you cant wait/afford trailmaster, are you saying they have a kit? Is someone making custom parts?

J.Kennedy,
I ordered a 2" lift for the 90-94. I'll just have to make it work!It arrived today along with the new shocks so it will go on probably next monday or wednesday. I went with the 2" instead of the 3" so that hopefully I won't have to replace the steering shaft and won't have too many issues with wires being too short.

Rick, did you get bumper relocation brackets with the kit; and if so, do they look like they will work on newer models?

"What the heck is he doing out here in that thing???"

Gerald,
Haven't popped the box yet. I just noticed the ups box sitting outside my front door when I arrived home last night from work at 1:45am and pulled it inside. I am on my way to work now so I'll let you know tomorrow when I start digging in to the new toys. The packaging is certainly colorful and exciting, so the kit must be complete and well thought out! Right??
