Hey guys new to the forum and new to ford aerostar. I have a clicking thats coming from the driver side front tire when i turn the wheel. Left or right dont matter still clicks. The boot is broken on the outer cv shaft. Also i get a rattle thats coming from the back of the van on drivers side brakes. I noticed in the back by the drum two lines go there one is a brake line and i think the other thicker one is the ebrake. The thicker line is loose

Welcome to this forum! CV axles eventually develop noise when grease leaks, and contamination enters. As for the rear noise, it's possible that it might be coming from the rear bearings in the differential or the universal joints.

I had just such a problem with my 93 Aero last week (359,000 miles). Turns out it was bad passenger front wheel bearings. $101 later the clicking is gone.

So i guess my next question is for the front how do itake out the cv shaft out? Is there a tutorial on how to do it on here im limited on cash right now and want to do it myself. Or should i clean it out while its intact buy a boot repair kit and just regrease it myself. As for the back it happens at random not all the time. Like i said there is a cable that goes to the back of the drum and its loose and it looks like the ebrake cable so im thinking maybe something broke off on the inside and is loose.

The lock nut on the CV axle & spindle have to be removed. The CV axle has to be pulled with a horse shoe/slap hammer tool. You might need a hub puller too.

On the aerostar's do the ball joints have to come out before the cv axle comes out? Because mine are original rivited in

Could it also be tie rod bushings since it happens when he turns?
