1995 Explorer XLT
I purchased a 1995 Ford Explorer last week with the door ajar and airbag light illuminated.
I fixed the door ajar by cleaning door the latches. I found a blown 10a fuse for the airbag in the power distribution box and replaced it. Airbag light was blinking a code 12 prior to replacing the fuse. It now blinks a code 52 which I believe means that the airbag lost power at one time, obviously it did. I've found some information on forums that describe resetting the SRS computer by jumpering across 2 terminals on a connector. I found a 3 pin connector under the dash behind the passanger side kick plate. The harness is yellow so it should be part of the SRS.
The connector is grey and the left wire is green and yellow. Can anyone tell me if this is the correct connector to jumper?

I don't know how to jump it, but I can tell you I had the same codes (blew a fuse), and someone posted up that the system requires 256 good self-tests to reset, and that is true.

PS: Welcome to the forum.

Connected to Inertia Switch

Turns out I answered part of my own question. The connector is plugged into the inertia switch, so it is definitely not part of the airbag system.
The search continues.
