1995 Ford Explorer 4WD Automatic.

I am looking for clues to as what Trasmission is in the 1995 Ford Explorer 4WD Automatic It slips out of gear while driving and now doesnt work at all

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread into the transmission section. You have a 4R55E 4 speed automatic. It sounds like you might be low on fluid.

1995-96 Ford Explorer 4 Wheel Drive V6, ... 4.0L 4R55E it wont go into any gear.. it'll grind on anything i put in.. feels like the tranny will fall out or somethin

Grinding might be a transfer case problem.

As a transfer case problem should be looking at beside fluid level and maybe removing the drive shafts and testing the situation
