Hi guys,
I'm about to buy parts to replace my timing tensioners etc..
My explorer is a 1996 4.0L SOHC, however all the parts i find which state they are for Explorers only say 1997 onwards? Is the 1996 different to the timing setup in a 1997? Or will the parts in a 1997 timing chain kit fit into my engine, i didnt think they were different? I'm going to go with the 4USA timing kit as it appears to be pretty good quality and a lifetime warranty.
