i got a 2wd drive i let sit due to illness , love it bought new 99 ran it till 2018 . slave cyl went which is on throw-out bearing and fuil pump died got pump but clutch still not done. see if he replaced the clutch and cyl before doing lots of mods to be honest if ford still made that combo i buy one again got 20mpg consistent. will never touch the ne 4cyl turbo new one and to get v6 topping 60k running o4 4d now good truck but 12mpg and i liked the 5 sp better smooth trans easy powershiftI know, I couldn’t believe no one was interested in it, sitting there all dusty.
I should have mentioned, it has 5 speed standard transmission.
I was thinking the same on gears, I had an F250 years ago that had factory 410’s it was a beast with 35’s and a built 460!
I’m a lot older now, won’t be getting too crazy off-road but want it useable and not just a street driver. This is an entirely different vehicle but I really think it has potential to be quite fun.
Thanks for your input!
