1997 4.0 V6 automatic transmission trouble.

hi needing bit help
my gears were working ok then started to stop after 10 mins driving then now nothing wont move of in any gear
the od light comes on after maybe 30 seconds or so trying to move of

checked oil black dark colour with hint burnt smell not to sure how much init as hard to read

I've renamed this thread. Try to get the code numbers. It sounds like the fluid & filter will need to be replaced.

was thinking along those lines

get fillters and new oil take it its staight forward to replace

it has 89+ miles on clock

half way throw doing flush weather stopped play

have pan of O MY GOD what a mess ,

looking throw posts for the best way to empty and refill my tranny ????

thinking along lines pipe of cooler and block and start stop fill ....

what do you boys think ??????
