1997 Explorer CD Changer replacement.

My current 6 disc cd changer refuses to work now. Any disc i try playing, it simply says "no disc". I've done trying to tinker with it, so i am just going to bite the bullet and buy a new one. the only problem is that i don't know what fits, or if i would have to get a wiring harness or something. i've never had a car with a cd changer, so this is pretty new to me. i assume size isn't an issue, as long as it fits in the center console, but the wires and connector have me wondering. please let me know what worked for you, or just any tips you may have.

cd changer

it is notorious for ford cd changers to stop working, they are crap. when mine went out in my 97 e.b. i just upgraded and got a new aftermarket panasonic head unit with mp3 playback so now i can put 200+ songs on one cd.
