Will a 1997 ford explorer V6 4.0 engine fit into a 1992 explorer with a V6 4.0 engine.

It wouldnt work, the sensors are different. a 97 has an OBD II while your 92 has OBD I your best bet is to find a 4.0 from a 91-94.
