1997 explorer jet module

This is my first post and I wasnt sure whether to post under the modified or the stock because Im LOOKING to modify it.

Anyways I was wondering if anybody knew if there was a difference between the 1997 4.0 explorer jet chip module and the 1997 5.0 explorer jet chip module. I have a 4.0 and found a chip for cheap here in town but its for a 1997 5.0 and I dont wanna buy it if its not gonna work. Feedback would be much appreciated.

well everyone on here turned me away from it but i dont know anything about them but the obvious is different comp systems v8,v6 personally i dont think it will but maybe someone can give some insight.......try henson performance chips

The 5.0 chip doesn't work for the 4.0.

Allthough i don't think the jet chip is anything great, it does actualy give alot of gain for a stock vechile (shift points and firmness, WOT accel., and i found gas milage) if you're not looking to be the fastest thing on the road and just want a little gain its cheap and avaliable and come with great instructions. If you plan on modding your vechile alot don't waste your money on it you'll regret it cause you'll want a xcal 2 for a modded tune
