My stepson has a 97 Ranger 2.3L that sometimes won't start. It seems like its not getting any gas. You can keep turning it over and it will finally start. Does anyone have any ideas of what the problem could be. Thank you in advance for any and all help!!!!

You need to test the fuel pressure and compare with the factory specs. Can you hear the fuel pump power up when the key is turned on? If not, is there a clicking sound under the hood from the relay box? My '95 explorer will sometimes not get fuel. My culprit is a common issue with the relay box. If I don't hear the relay click, I pop the hood and give it the Fonzy treatment. It clicks, the fuel pump powers up and then starts right up.

Thanks for the info. i'll check it out.
