Won't always start

Thanks a lot. Now I just gotta get under there and figure out if its the relay or the pump. I had the filter replaced when I had a bunch of engine work done about 8 months ago.

At the relative cost of a new relay and ease of replacement, you might want to replace it and see if that solves your problem. An 8 month old filter isn't likely it unless you have something in your tank.
