Can he roll down the pass. window from the driver's side? If so, it's the lockout switch on the driver's door.

My friend has a 2002 Buick something-or-other, and he has the same problem: the lockout switch basically self-destructed, so he can roll down the pass. window, but the pass. switch can't.

no the windows dont roll down with passenger or driver side switches so i dont think its that, its gotta be the wires, but i dont wanna go poking around in his car without knowing what to look for

black those buick forums i gave u did ur friend join at all.

Those cars are notorious for window problems... the window regulators are basically a set of cables and pulleys and nonsense held together with chewing gum. They break down all the time, and the windows get stuck either up (if your lucky) or down.

Obviously check if the motor is getting power before going crazy, but most likely the whole regulator will have to be replaced. You can get them from places like rockauto.com for a lower price than the dealer... you get an EF discount if you order from them too.

This might help: LINK
