98 explorer 4wd xlt 4.0 sohc . Engine cranks but won't start. 99percent sure no spark. Checked fuses. I am not a mechanic but pretty good at fixing things. Just don't know what to check? I don't hav much money to spend or I would hav it towed to a pro. Cannot afford too. Please any help would b greatly appreciated. Thank u

If you have spark you need to do a fuel pressure test. If you don't have a tester spray a small shot of starting fluid into the throttle body and see if it fires up.

I tried that with the spray bottle. Nothing, not even a sputter. I just know much about electrical. Car ran fine, wife to store parked in the driveway this morning git in to go to work and just cranks. ???

there are tons of methods on the internet for checking spark.. basically take the plug wire boot off and put a screw driver in there and crank the engine and you should be able to see the spark... dont hold the screw driver while you have someone crank the engine. i am not sure the exact method but that is the general idea, google how to check for spark and read up.. be safe good luck and report findings!
