I am new to the forum . Having trouble with this as Ive seen others have as well .Replaced cam sensor ( the one that was there was clearly broken ) but now have circuit error . My vehicle does have a problem with quick jerks under acceleration - seems to idle fine . And a few times have had trouble starting it . It would just not start but after putting foot to floor on accelerator it started . I inspected Crankshaft sensor and noticed one bolt was missing . Replaced it . Research says crankshaft sensor but would that throw the same code ? Just looking for ideas . My vehicle which is new to me will not pass emissions till I fix this . Hoping you can help
Thanks !!
Just to add . My explorer is a 4.0 pushrod engine cam sensor located in rear of engine 230k .
I installed the sensor in tucson .we did test the voltage to the connector and it was within spec . It has been running ok I drove it from tucson back to denver ( check engine light on )
