The computer question. A very famous question here on the boards and the answer is yes...but with a whole lot of labor. Do a search, there're a lot of threads on this subject.
The XLT won't have any kind of pre-wiring to a harness which you can just plug the trip computer into. All the wiring for everything that the trip computer does will have to be hand done. It is not an easy job by any means!!
The job is actually pretty easy if you find yourself a new harness. About a days worth of work switching the harnesses...... and will save you the hassle of doign the wiring yourself. Remember, anything is possible..... especially when it comes to wiring.
