I have 1999 Mazda B4000 (Ranger) v6 4wd. I want to tow my 01 Exp sport to the trails. If I recall, the max limit on the ranger is 9800lbs. I am sure I will exceed this. Any ideas other than getting another truck lol?

9800lbs? Umm, probably not. That is your gross COMBINED vehicle weight rating.

My Ram is a full size 1500 with a 5.2l v8 and it maxes out at 8000lb towing, 10,000 with a WD hitch.

According to this your max trailer weight is 2000lbs. The "trailer" in this instance includes what you are carrying-a 3500lb truck on a 1 ton trailer. This puts you way over the limit you can pull. If you had a weight distributing hitch you could pull 5660lbs, but you won't like it and your truck will definitely not like it.

OK thanks....For some reason the Mazda is rated higher than the ranger. I cant recall what I found on Ranger station but i think it was rated at 3600.

Either way, I am way over... How about using a 2 dolly to tow it?

That's up to you. The tow dolly is about 500lbs give or take so that lessens the overall weight. You can pull the sport with it, but I will remind you that these auto tranny's don't like a lot of extra weight on them. I would beef it up with an external cooler, if you don't already have one.
