1999 Ford Explorer XLT
So today i decided to take off the running boards for my 1999 Explorer, and everything went well. BUT now that i have them off first off i recommend it because it looks a lot higher off the ground, but now i see the holes that had tabs in them holding the steps on (other than the bracket bolts) and i was wondering if someone makes a panel to cover these ugly holes! Please help!!

You could always put XL trim on. Or fill the holes with plugs.
Lots of people here have done it. Just search! :)

In my build thread, (link listed in signature), there is a cheap, may i say perfect way, to deal with this. It costs less than 10 bucks, and works great, looks like factory. and no need for additional trim, you might have to cut, to put on bigger wheels. i also have a thread in the modified 2nd gen forum, with the link. hope this helps.
