I have some problems with my power antenna. The power antenna motor works just fine, I can hear it working when I turn the radio on. If I turn the radio off and then push the antenna stick down, it goes down. And when I turn on the radio again it goes up, but not fully extended. But then it won't pull it back down. Is there any way I can replace only the antenna stick and not the entire unit? I know the motor is quiet expensive.

I am great full for all help :)

go to your local parts store and buy a " rope and mast for your antenna " you may have to dismantle the unit to remove the broken bit which is a nylon geared rope attached to the mast

My local Ford-dealer told me that it's impossible to buy just the "rope and mast" for my antenna. They told me that I have to buy the Whole unit. I believe they are wrong. What do you think?

you probably can't buy it from Ford, but parts stores sell the rope replacement.

do you have an aftermarket parts store, not ford, you may have to dismantle the antenna to get the brand of electric antenna, measure the diameter of the mast and take it with you so you get the correct part, our local radio specialist have listed different masts to suit oem and after market antennas. to remove it you have to take off the splash guard under the mudguard, or you may call it fender, if you have to use the vehicle you may have to put it back on, online parts store may be an option also.
