1999 ford explorer xls brakes

everytime i drive my car no matter what speed, there is a weird creaking noise. the faster the wheels turns the faster the noise is. when i step on the brakes the noise stops. so i was wondering does anyone know what this could be?

welcome to the forum... if i were to guess id say your probably due for breaks and the wear sensor on the pad is rubbing on the rotor and causing a screechy scrappy noise.. again my best guess

i see, thanks for the advice ill see if i can get under the car and post pics, hopefully someone will be able to see if anything is out of place.
