Hello to all

The wife and I were shopping for a vehicle for our son. I came across a 2002 XLT 4x4 with 90000 miles. When we went to see it the wife loved so much she was willing to give up her 08 accord to our son. I will pick it up tomorrow. It is in fantastic shape and I am already looking for BFG AT's for it,(for her safety of course!!!!!).

If its the 4.0 SOHC be very careful and make sure it doesnt have the infamous timing chain rattle. VERY expensive to fix.

Next to tires a quality set of brake pads and slotted rotors will keep your wife very safe. Assuming she doesnt have distractions

The timing chain tensioners are designed horribly on the 4.0 V6 ford engines. (not sure which years do some searching) They wear out prematurely and cause a ticking that will eventually end in a timing chain breaking.

ehhh I have a 92, and when I start her up cold, it ticks, the higher rpms, the faster the tick....only does it for 5 mins or so (til it warms up a bit)
