Well I'm looking at 2 of these subs in a sealed box. I tried the search function, but im not exactly sure what kinda amp im gonna need? I wanted to get the 1000 RMS ones at first, but thats just WAY too much power i guess. These should work, if anyone knows a quality amp i can use on these or a link for a good deal that would help, thanks all :)

an Audiobahn A2150HC would work great for those subs. just wire it @ 1 ohm mono.

*make sure you get a warranty with those subs.
the eu series is just a continuation of the 2000 model year here (they sold them in europe for 2001). the X series is the 2001 model year. and the Q series is 2002.
the eu series and the 2000 models had the same problem with voice coil cooling. the X series and Q series are much better and there havent been any problems

Leenjen how can i power these subs for less than 300?

Get a ma mono block selling on ebay for around 250,kick ass amps

I got a burning hole in my wallet and am hoping to get these soon, i just need advice on an amp

well you coul get 2 RF bd500.1, beware on the 1200 eu cause the cone on mine started to rattle and i sent it back. but imm gettin a aw1200Q to replace the eu. other than that a GREAT sub.

So whats the verdict, i need subs and a amp, should i go with this?

Get a bazooka tube, and you'll be blown away... and if ya get a pre amped one, then it's all in one package...

Uh, if yer gonna get an amp that big... plan on getting a cap and a new battery or alternator....

hey, so is that a lot of power. or should i go with 2 12" phoenix gold instead? I dont know jack crap about audio so this sux!:(

Get an Alpine Type R 12in sub... and get a Fostgate Punch 250.2 amp... run it bridged... get a wiring kit, and cha-ching, yer in business.... all for a good price with good products.

I found 2 12" Alpine R DVC subs for 120 each. some guy says i need to wire em at 400 watts at 1 ohm. my budget is 300, anyone reccomend amps?

dont listen to him. you dotn have to wire them @ 1 ohm. you can wire them @ 4 ohms mono. that will save you some money since you dont have to buy a high current amp.

an Audiobahn A2601X (or 2601Q for the 2002 model year) will power them nicely. you cold probably find it on the net between $240-$270

if you want to keep the price as low as possible and still get a good amp, check out the Profile CL-600.
you can find it for about $150 on the internet. Crutchfield sells it for $189.
