Ok i so i need some help with my GF's 2.9 ltr for ranger motor..it needed a new head...so we put a new head on it..but i wasnt there when they pulled the Distributre...and i need to figure out how to get this thing at square one to get the timing right..i can get it started but it runs really really ruff..and i think some thing is off..
I have been looking for pics or diagrams of the motor stuff..but as far as the distributre there is two things on it that i noticed..there is a gear...and the splines on it that BOTH have to match up...what are the splines on the bottom that have to match up? what does that Spline have to to with the motor..? does it effect the timing or is it just the gear i should be worrring about??
