2016 explorer limited
We picked up a ruby red explorer limited with camel interior on Dec 2. The major thing that has driven me crazy is the fingerprint collection on MyFord Touch. I Ordered a nushield Triple A screen protector and it has reduced fingerprints by about 75%. Great item if fingerprints drive you crazy.

Since the ford is camel interior, when the seats are stowed the stow material is a light camel color (if I get this stained it, will drive me crazy). The weathertech liners won't work because of kids and sports and need the 3rd row sometimes.I ordered a canvas liner that is water resistant from canvasback.com that covers the back floor area when seats are in stowed position. The liner is excellent quality, fits perfectly, and doesn't need to be removed if I used the 3rd row. It Comes in 2 pieces so I can use one seat in the 3rd row if I need to. I'm not sure how to post pics, if I figure it out I will post some.

Just figure I would mention these incase others are looking for something similar.

For the back area when the seats are stowed, I use clear carpet protection plastic, the kind that's sticky on one side. works great and can easily be replaced when it gets dirty.

Thanks for bringing this up again. Both products have been discussed before. The canvasback cover seems ideal for most uses of the cargo area.

Camel interior and you have kids?!!?? You are a braver man than me. I am destined to black or dark gray for all eternity it seems.

We chose not to get the covers for the back of second row, but they can be ordered. I was concerned about the floor for the most part.

when buying ours I thought about it for a while. I have a car with an all black exterior and I think it shows dirt as bad as anything else. we have clay dirt though so that might be a minor thought.

the tan seats are easy to clean but still have the black carpet which is easy to vacuum. or so I think, so far.

granted my kid is only 15 months. however my other kid (the wifey) acts like a 5 year old. (feet on the dash board, trash everywhere etc)

OH and my wife hates the screen protector for some reason. I couldn't tell any difference in it, but she hated it.

Why exactly?

I think I'd prefer the one shown in my post above since it also covers the backs of the 2nd row.

Peter

Peter, initially I did too, but like the other pic posted, I have 2nd row captn chairs, and your site doesn't offer one for that setup.

YEs they do...it isn't listed for the 2016 yet however I am sure the cargo area has not changed from 2015. I will have to give them a call. Thanks for the upgrade info everyone...I will definitely be purchasing the black cargo liner!! We were talking about that very thing the other day about something to protect that area.

They have it for the 16, the website isn't updated. I spoke with Peter from canvasback and he was very helpful.

That's awesome! I guess I'll be making my own call to them!

I don't have a 'site'. I think there may be some confusion here since another post referred to a Peter working at Canvasback. BTW, the 2nd row seats are referred to as Bucket Seats, not Captain's Chairs. Buckets don't have armrests while captain's generally do. A small point I know but it might make a difference if you are ordering something related to them or doing a 'Search' on the Forum.:)

Peter (not from Canvasback ;))

Oh, sorry- in my haste to respond, I wasn't clear. I meant your link, not your website. I didn't think you owned the site. Knowing you by reputation only, I am positive you would have made that clear if you were plugging your store or even an associate or friend. I pay close attention to forum members and have a knack for spotting the good guys pretty quick. I help run the Shelby enthusiast community, so I guess you can call it occupational awareness. Lol

I just looked at your sig and see that you have a GT350 on order. I AM SO JEALOUS!!!!! I would kill for that car. Meanwile, my 93 is on jack stands with the heads off. Just got my AFR's yesterday, so now I need to start putting it back together. It has been down since June.

Any stang running 10s and doesn't have a 5.4 or a 5.8 in it is legit. My first mustang was a 93 5.0 hatch, and it was a 14 second car, which wasn't terrible either, but taking 1/3 off your times is a serious achievement.

Thanks on the 350. I'm excited, but keep seeing all these others being delivered, and mine won't get built until Spring. I guess I was lucky to even get an allocation though. I love all the different performance Fords you can get these days, and have pretty much all niche builds they do. I have had a few gt500s, and loved the 2014 I had, but it was such a waste of power. It flat couldn't handle the hp, and I don't care how many HP you label any car with, it's useless if it can't translate to the pavement. But wi the the gt350, you have to quit calling it a muscle car.

Why exactly?

I wish I knew. She of course can't be specific - but she hates them on her phone also.

I don't get it. honestly thought she wouldn't be able to tell it was there, but she did.

The nushield looks pretty good. I notice the bottom edge, but it applied easily with no bubbles and its matte like MFT. I only use a glass screen protector on my iPhone because I don't like the feel of the non-glass protectors on it, but I'm fine with the nushield on MFT, looks invisible and most of the fingerprints are gone. I keep a microfiber cloth to clean the ones off that do appear and they also seem to wipe off easily.
