I don't have a lot of experience. . .

But is seems like most members of the board prefer Performance Accessories' body lifts (PA). I think their kits are more complete (include the bushings, hardware, necessary steering extensions, and bumper brackets). I've read a few complaints about the bumper brackets being "useless," though.

Some folks have custom fabricated their own brackets, and their drawings are available on the board. Just search a little.

Good luck!

yes Performance Accesories seems to be what everyone uses....but now that i think about it i dont recall ever hearing about another name brand. But i guess it doesnt really matter, since PA lifts do the job fine.

"he has made good. why change?"

can u send me that site b/c i was looking under Performance Accesories.com and i cant find it thanks guys

you can order from 4wheelparts.com

....

and yes the rear bumper brackets are USELESS!! the fronts work.

good Luck

PEACE

they dont have a 2inch lift for a 95 explorer do u kow anywhere else?or if a lift there would work from a different truck would fit? thanks for the help

just get a 3". if your gonna do the work you might as well get another inch out of it.....

srry ddue thought you were a 91 - 94...... you can use one from a ranger but i dont remember exactly which one... search and i think you will fint it... there was a thread jstu in the lst couple days that had the part numb. Peace

Other manufacturers

I think Trail Master and some of the other suspension lift makers (Skyjacker, etc) also make body lifts for Explorers.

They don't make them for 95+ Explorers. We're using the ones for Rangers. But yeah, get a 3" in my opinion. You'll want to go higher anyways. Might as well do it from the begining. :D

I believe that if you want a 2" lift you need to purchase Performance Accessories 792 kit which is designed for 91-94 Explorers but apparently fits. I can't tell you how it goes until mine arrives. As for a 3", I think its a PA 883 or a PA 853 designed for Rangers. There is a thread that talks about the two 3" kits and which one is better due to steering extensions and which model you have. Remember, when you order, don't tell them your putting it on a late model Explorer. Here is a link which might help that you could have searched for:
