i have seen a lot of posts about power windows with any combo of going/not going up or down problems. everyone talks about motors, wiring and the plastic gears. but i have a 93 and a 94 eddie bauer edition, and they both are sticking, sometimes up, sometimes down. i took the door panel off and found the bottom "slide" is off the bottom of the window, so it is not raising and lowering properly. the plastic parts that slide are very loose. how do you get the window to stay in that bottom track?

thanks for any help.

thanks for your input. i sprayed some silicone spray on it, because i wasn't sure what to use. but the problem is with the part that slides in the track. it is held in place by "ball joint" and it is worn out. so when the window tries to go up or down, it snags against the support beam on the inside of the door. i guess i really need to know where i could get that part, or if i need to replace the whole "electric track" as an assembly. also, is the window supposed to be glued to that part, or does it move on the window as well as the track. probably gonna try to find one in a junkyard next week unless you have another suggestion.

thanks again

Since you're on windows... what's the best way to fix a frayed, almost broken cable?
