2 inch drop - camber alignment?

I am about to do a 2 inch drop to my explorer. How screwed up does your camber/alignment get, and how much does it cost to get fixed? Or is it easy enough to do yourself?

I have a friend installing the lowering kit for me. Is there anything specifically I should be weary of? I have stock size tires and rims. Will I have to worry about tires rubbing against the frame or anything? etc.

you may get some swaybar rub but it shouldnt be too bad.... the lowering requires adjusting the torsion bars and also a lift block for the rear..... with 2", you shouldnt run into any problems getting it aligned..... where i work, we charge 59.99 for a ford truck alignment and will tack on an extra 10 if it has a modified suspension....

stupid question, how "bad" would it be if I lowered my truck 2 inches intially, and waited say a month max to adjust the camber? Are we looking at any damage or anything there?

According to the place that did my alignment, it is impossible to align it and adjust the camber correctly with it lowered 2" and with 17" wheels.

I had a ball joint replaced this morning and I go for another alignment this tuesday. I'm going to a different shop (the shop I should have gone to the first time, but he was closed for awhile because his son died and I need the alignment done bad) and they will align it and put a camber kit in if necessary. They are going to give me a print out of the alignment specs as of now and when they are done. The inside of my tires are worn down which means there is an alignment problem. There was only one ball joing bad on the drivers side... all the others were good. that means that the passengers side alignment should be pretty close to what it was when they supposedly aligned it about 5,000 miles ago. These people that did my alignment after I lowered it are in for it and they dont know it yet.
