You have the right idea...

Here is a thread I grabbed from the suspension section of the useful thread sub forum... (Most people forget that sub exists).

That thread above is specifically about installing f-150 spring seats and warrior shackles (War-153) which get you just under 2" of lift (more like 1 5/8") which is just about always alignable..

Most 4wd shops can get warrior products, so they can order the Warrior shackles, part #153 ..

I lifted my 92 Ex 2" a few months ago using front coil spacers, shackles, and an "add a leaf" kit. I have 32" Pro Comp A/T tires on there and they fit just fine. Although, I did have to trim away at some of the weather guard on the front wheel wells due to slight rubbing but that was not bad.

This is what I bought for the coil spacers and "add a leaf":

And these are the shackles I picked up:

I've been riding on all that since this summer with no problems!

As said, it easy to lift with spacers and WAR153 shackles, easily the cheapest way to go. Another option, one I used, was Skyjacker leveling springs. I did this since mine were very soft and spacers would account for the softness. Rear shackles I bought on Amazon. Hardest part was breaking free the rusted bolts.

2" isn't enough lift to run 33's, they will rub. 32's might even rub but I nkow where you can get a complete 4" kit for an excellent price ;)

Hi all,

I need a question solved.

I installed pro Comp add a leafs today and only got as far as completing the passenger side (will do driver side tomorrow)

When I lowerd the jack after completion of the passenger side I noticed there had been no lift whatsever in the side with the added leaf in it..??

Will I get the desired lift when I do the driver side?

Thanks heaps,

Jake

Sorry nobody jumped in on your question sooner...........I've done add a leafs on both explorers now, the pro-comp 13120, and I did both sides at the same time so I couldn't say for sure, but I would have to guess that once they're both done you'll notice the difference. I got a full 2" out of them both once the jack dropped, but a day or two of running around and them settling in gave me a final of about 1.5"
