2 Questions on SOHC's
I have seen a lot posted about the 00M12 Warranty work posted. Is this basically recall work without the recall? I am taking my truck to the dealer Thurs, is this something I should ask them to do. Will they try and charge me? It is a 98 SOHC with 74,000 on it. Truck makes a rattling noise every now and the when you first start it up, but goes away after a few minutes. Timing Chain Tensioners maybe?
Second Question: Where the Hell is the PCV Valve on this motor. I can't friggin find it anywhere. Chiltons and Haynes show the locations for both the standard 4.0 and the 5.0, but not the 4.0 SOHC. IT SHOWS THAT THERE IS ONE ON THE VACCUUM DIAGRAM. I bought one to replace it, couldn't find anything that remotely looked like it anywhere.
