I appear to have stumped everyone on this. No one at 4 different Ford dealerships could answer it, and apparently no one on this board either. What's up with you people, I'm starting to loose faith...

I've searched thsi board and read every post about it. I've asked many people here at many shops. I'm getting pretty damn frustrated now, so the first person to correctly solve this problem will get $20 in cash from me.

Key word here is CORRECTLY. I will have to try it out first, then I'll pay up.

I'm trying to replace the brake lines on my 1999 Ford Explorer Sport. I have a lift now and want to get longer lines. What sizes are the fittings on the hard lines? See pictures. Also, what size are the banjo fittings on the calipers? I will order the parts from here:

If you can tell me exactly what I need to order (all pieces), I will pay you a $20 consultation fee. I can send you a $20 bill by mail or by PayPal, or by money order if you prefer. I just want an answer to this question. Thanks.

Doc,
Out of curiosity, why now try to care of this locally? If you remove the lines, you should be able to get the hard lines, with the correct ends, in a bunch of lengths, at stores like NAPA. Then you can take the hose to a hose shop and they can make one up that is the correct length and with the correct ends.

This way you kinda know that you are getting exactly what you need. It is prolly cheaper than getting pre-made hoses also.

Just wondering,

Robb

Nope, you have to goto a shop that makes them. Hey I just got mine done, I think I can get you one made for $80.00 plus shipping. It will be an extended main line, new t--fitting and new line to the driver rear caliper. I will take a photo of mine and email you what it will look like. It took me two months and I finally gave up and found a shop and had them make it for me. Let me know if you want to do it. Don't order it from the internet, if you don't go with my idea, then take it to a shop that knows what they are doing. This is a brakeline, not something to fart around with. Good luck.

I haven't found a shop to do it. El Paso has a population of 750,000 people and not one single store to do it. I was going to order the parts and then have my mechanic do the work.

If you could send photos, that would be great.

Meanwhile, the offer still stands.

bump.
