I have a wiper question, not about brand names, but about size.

There is some road construction in my neighborhood and the dirt and dust are horrendous. I noticed the rather limited coverck 18” blades, especially on the passenger side.

I am wondering if 20” blades will work and if any of you have used them>

Opinions, please…..

I have 20" Bosch wipers on mine and no rub at all, but for some reason, my right one hits the cowl. It's no biggie though. I can see a difference in the rain so it's worth it.

Bigger wiper blades are a really good idea. I had never thought of that. Oh well, that's just me. Anyway, my Ex's windshield wipers had always been terrible no matter what, but the last time I needed to replace them I went to Costco and got these Teflon wipers for like $9.99. They're stock size, but they work better than any wipers I've ever had on it. I'd definitely recommend Teflon wipers to anyone that could find them.

After using 20" Rain X wiper blades for a while now and during a heavy rain on a recent 500 mile voyage, here are a few commenhts.

(1) the visibility for the front passenger is vastly improved. the right front blade fits and works perfectly.

(2) the f\drivers side blade is about 1/4 to 1/2 inch too long and hits the window piller ( or whatever one calls it ). the coverage is good and it does work, but i am concerned about hitting the piller. Maybe a 19" blade on the drivers side would be perfect. I will try this soon

Is it possible to cut just a little off of the 20" blade to make it so it doesnt hit?

Also I finally got my rear wiper fixed (after 1 and 1/2 years of no working) so just wondering how the coverage of that is. Is there room to go bigger back there as well?

sorry i didnt post pics.... i am at a different computer now.... ok89, you dont need to cut it.if it really bothers you, readjust the positon of the arm to one notch higher....let me see if i can go get some pics.... i am elite so i can attach them now...

I doubt that it could be cut down; the metal "hook" end that holds the rubber blade in place is right at the end. I am going to use a 19" blade on the drivers side.

The rear, at least on my 99, is as big as will fit.

This is an interesting thread to be following. That reminds me, I need to replace my rear wiper blade.

OK, ignore me. Resume talking
