Hit the big 200,000 mile mark today

I think I will give it a long over due bath to celibrate.

Congrads I'm at 160k hope to get to 200k also. Not doing much driving with the X now. (8 mi trip used to be 128 mi round trip daily)

what parts you had to replace for your explorer to last?(timming chain, engine etc)

don't mean regular changes like oil, brake etc.

did you rebuild your tranny?

216,800 on the X today! Runs like a champ just checked my gas mileage today and it was 21.4. I couldn't ask for a better vehicle.

only thing major is a swapped(not rebuilt) tranny out of a 97 ohv with 135k. All else is original even the shocks. Did the timing chain kit but still have the rattle.

I mostly do city driving, so it's impossible for me to put this kind of mileage on. I drive about 4k a year.

I have 252,000 on my 95 XLT. I replaced a transmission, a rear end (I didn't change their fluids like I should have). But the oil gets changed every 3k. The old gal squeeks going over speed bumps but I'll be fixing that soon.

Terrific! Mine is exactly the same config as yours ('98 XLT 4.0 SOHC 4x4 Auto
5R55E, 3.73LS Rear). I'm only at 65K though, so I guess I've got some catching up to do.

One more set of tires lol. I need a set and with 216,000 I am wondering if it is the last set of tires I will buy. But that is what I wondered last time I got tires. She keeps on runnin and I will keep it until the wheels fall off.

we just passed the 160,000 mark not to long ago, and i decided to go with a full synthetic oil the last oil change. I am hoping to get over 200,000 miles out of it! The only major things that we have changed have been the tranny has been rebuilt twice (once by the previous owner and once by us because of the intermediate band broke), the alternator went, and the fuel pump and that is it...

99 XLT SOHC, 165K miles,only regular matinence, only major part was a CV joint that went out due to a bad TT

97 SOHC 135000 timming chain tensioner is being replaced. Alternator and starter are the only other things. Great truck. Everything else is stock besides my mods.
