2000 4.0 misfire

Hello everyone, new member.. so please forgive me if im posting this in the wrong spot.
Have a 2000 xls that is giving me some problems. Every 2k to 4k miles my check engine light comes on. When I check the codes, it usually is a cyl misfire but not always the same one. I change the sp. plug to the cyl. that is giving me the code and the problem goes away for a while. I have noted that my coolant goes down about 2qt. a month. I have checked the coolant to see if there are exhaust gases mixed in with a tool from snap-on, but it reads negative. Any suggestions?

It might be prudent to replace all the plugs AND wires.

Have you checked the coi lpac?

coil pack

When the problem first started, i replaced all the plugs and wires. That was about 20k miles ago. My explorer now has 97k miles. since then i'ved replaced plugs 1,3,4 and 6. #4 probably about three times. I bought a new coil pack, but did not replace it because it didn't seam likely that the problem would be there.
